Woodson Crew is looking for coaches for our co-ed, competitive rowing
program now in our 23rd season at the Occoquan. We offer a competitive
salary and the support of an established core of coaches and booster
association. We anticipate 85 – 95 student athletes will participate in our
program again this year. Winter Conditioning begins in November and our
On-The-Water season begins in late February and lasts through May. Woodson
has an outstanding inventory of shells, oars, coaching launches and all
other ancillary equipment for the use of our coaching staff. For more

West Potomac High School Crew - a 40 year old program in
Alexandria, VA - is looking to hire 2 assistant coaches for the 2008 -2009
season. Successful candidates will have the ability to: Plan and run
efficient workouts - Set practice and race lineups, develop rower fitness
and technique, and prep crews for racing - Attend races, meetings, and
recruiting activities - Have drive and passion for the sport and inspire
athletes to perform to their full potential. US Rowing certifications, or
the ability to obtain certifications required. Must pass county school
system background check and TB test. Mandatory county classes also required
for your first year, and more in-depth classes required after 1st year. CPR
and First Aid proficiency are all well regarded. Previous experience

TC Williams is seeking a head coach for its girls rowing
program. TCW rows out of its own Boathouse on the Potomac in Old Town
Alexandria. The girls program has had much success, winning the Virginia
Championships points trophy 6 out of the past 9 years along with gold a
silver medals at the Canadian Championships and appearances in the finals at
SRAs and Stotesbury. The girls program has had approximately 75 female
athletes in previous years and has fielded a lightweight boat.. The head
girls coach will also have a staff of five assistant coaches. A qualified
applicant will have prior coaching experience, preferably as a head coach

Yorktown HS Crew, celebrating its 40th year of rowing
in 2008, seeks candidates for the positions of Varsity Women's Head Coach
and Coaches' Assistants for the '08-'09 season. We're seeking mature
professionals with great enthusiasm, technical expertise, and high standards
of leadership. Applicants should have several years' experience as a
college rower/coxswain or coaching rowers at the high school level. As one
of the oldest crew programs in the DC area, Yorktown has blended success on
the local and national stage with a strong emphasis on building the
character and life skills of its student-athletes. Our parent Boosters Club
is extremely active in fundraising efforts, provides top quality equipment,
and fully supports the coaching staff with a competitive stipend based on
experience. Crew is a varsity sport in Arlington County, Virginia. Please

Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, VA is seeking a coach for
the 2008/2009 crew season. Our dynamic program is entering its tenth season
and averages 75-80 rowers. Winter conditioning starts in late November and
ends upon the start of spring training (late February). The on water season
is from late February to the end of May. We practice at Bull Run marina,

The Prince William Rowing Club is seeking candidates for several
coaching positions for our upcoming 2008 Season. PWRC is a Masters Rowing
Club operating out of the Oxford Boat House in Lake Ridge Park in
Woodbridge. Our season runs June through November(HOTO), and we practice
three days per week prior to Labor Day, and weekends only following Labor
Day. We have a very active Competitive Men & Women's Group, a growing
Fitness Group (Recreational) and a very healthy Novice group. Last year our
club totaled 90 members & we attended 13 regattas. Our Competitive Groups
have enjoyed significant success in recent years. And our Learn To Row
program, "Raw Knucks" brings many new members into our ranks each year. In
addition to our adult rowing programs, we work closely with our fellow
Prince William High School organizations to foster and support rowing for
all groups in our community. Previous coaching is a plus, but we will also
consider rowers and coxswains for some positions; salary commensurate with
